South Korea has halted overseas voting in Turkey for the April 15th General Elections after a man who returned to South Korea after voting there was confirmed with the coronavirus.
The South Korean Consulate General in Istanbul said the man tested positive on Sunday after arriving at Incheon International Airport the day before.
He visited the polling station in Turkey last Thursday.
The Consulate General in Istanbul was scheduled to hold overseas voting until April 6th, with more than five hundred voters registering to vote.
Despite the suspension, votes before April 4th will still be valid.
So far,... around half of all registered South Korean overseas voters are unable to cast their ballots for the upcoming elections due to the coronavirus outbreak.
