South Korea's nationwide social distancing measures have been extended for two more weeks to April 19th... originally scheduled to end this Sunday.
"This is not a time to relax. If we let our guard down, our efforts could come to nothing. It's a situation where strong social distancing has to continue."
At a briefing on Saturday South Korean health authorities said that, with the number of imported cases continuing to rise, an extension is necessary.
Churches and facilites where the risk of mass infections is high will be restricted for two more weeks.
Those who violate self-quarantine guidelines could be fined up to 25-hundred U.S. dollars, foreigners could be deported.
