Kanakamala is a hilltop in Thrissur District of Kerala. It is about 3000 feet above sea level.Nearest cities to Kanakamala village are Chalakkudy and Kodakara. Bus services are available from these towns to reach Kanakamala. This place is also known as Kanakamala Kurisumudi, as there is a Roman Catholic Church. The pilgrims used to climb this hill as an act of prayer and offering.The hill is on western side of the ghats (Sahyadri)
