Ingredients:
Bangda Fish (Mackerel) - 4 Fish
Freshly grated coconut- 50 gms
Dried Red Chillies - 15 gms (10-12 nos.)
Coriander Seeds- 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp
Garlic- 6 cloves
Ginger- 1/2 inch
Onion- 1 Small Size
Oil- 3 tbsp
Cocum- 10-12 nos.
Salt to taste
Schezwan Pepper- 10-12 nos.
Method:
1. Soak Cocum in warm water and keep it aside.
2. Combine coconut, red chillies, coriander, turmeric powder, garlic, ginger, onion and grind them together into fine paste.
4. In a deep bottom pan heat 3 tbsp of oil, when the oil is hoe add in the masala paste and saute it until the raw smell goes away.
5. Add in about 1 cup of water and bring it to boil .
6.Gently add the fish, soaked cocum, salt and schezwan pepper and cook the curry for about 10 Minutes.
Bangdyacha Tikhat (Mackerel curry) goes well with steamed rice.
