Twenty people are feared dead after a bus carrying 46 passengers collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district and caught fire on Friday evening. Twenty one passengers have been rescued and taken to hospital. The accident took place on Friday night when the bus was on its way to Jaipur from Farrukhabad. According to initial ground reports, passengers were unable to escape the fire as they were sleeping, and doors and windows were shut.

उत्तर प्रदेश के कन्नौज में जीटी रोड हाइवे पर बीती रात डबल डेकर बस और ट्रक के बीच जबरदस्त भिड़ंत हो गई. टक्कर के बाद बस में भीषण आग लग गई जिससे उसमें सवार 20 यात्रियों की जलकर मौत हो गई. हादसे में कई लोग घायल हुए हैं. जानकारी के मुताबिक, बस में 40 से ज्यादा सवारियां मौजूद थीं. मृतकों की संख्या बढ़ने की आशंका जताई जा रही है. टक्कर के बाद बस और ट्रक दोनों वाहन जल कर खाक हो गए. पीएम मोदी ने कन्नौज की घटना पर दुख जताया है.
