Vietnamese farmers transport thousands of coconuts on rural canal
  • 4 years ago
Farmers in Tra Vinh, Vietnam uses these rural canals to transport thousands of coconuts instead of using common forms of logistics.

Footage from August 14 shows a large number of coconuts floating down an irrigation canal.

Locals said that they use irrigation canals in the coconut garden for transport.

The construction of the canal system ensures the amount of irrigation water for the coconut garden as well as the transportation of coconuts.

With the use of water lines for transportation, they tie the coconuts together meaning they only need one person to transport thousands of coconuts at a time.

Previously, to transport such large quantities of coconuts, it took at least 10 men to transport the load to the truck.
