US House passes Uygur law demanding sanctions on China over human rights abuses in Xinjiang

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill calling for sanctions against senior Chinese officials who are deemed responsible for their involvement in mass internment camps in Xinjiang. The bill approved on December 3, 2019, is a revamped version of the act passed by the US Senate in September.
