South Korea is upping its aviation security measures ahead of the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Commemorative Summit set to take place in Busan next week.
The transport ministry has said it will raise the air security level on seven domestic airports and on aircraft …from this Monday to November 27th.
Gimhae International Airport will run heightened security at "alert" level while other airports like Incheon and Jeju will raise their security level to "caution."
Because the tightened security measures may result in a longer boarding process, the transport ministry is asking passengers to arrive at airports 30 minutes earlier than usual.
