देश में वाहनों की चोरी रोकने के लिए कई कदम उठाए गए हैं. लेकिन इसके बाद वाहन चोरी की घटनाओं में कोई कमी नहीं आ रही है. एनसीआरबी की रिपोर्ट में इसका खुलासा हुआ है. रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक साल 2017 में चोरों ने देशभर से 2.26 लाख वाहन चोरी किए, जिनकी कीमत करीब 1255 करोड़ रुपये है. जबकि पुलिस ने सिर्फ 56 हजार वाहन बरामद करने में ही कामयाबी हासिल की.
