Hong Kong’s government has unveiled relief measures targeting logistics and tourism sectors which have been hit by the city’s ongoing anti-government protests and the US-China trade war. Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po announced a HK$2 billion (US$254 million) package of relief measures, including fuel subsidy and rent reduction, on October 22, 2019. A HK$100 million (US$12.75 million) subsidy scheme for travel agencies was rolled out the day after.
