Pres. Moon asks religious groups to play bigger role in integrating society

President Moon Jae-in says that despite efforts to unify Korean society in the past two years,... there has been a lack of notable improvement.
A luncheon was held at the Blue House today, gathering the heads of seven major religious groups in the country.
President Moon discussed the conflict over reforming the prosecution and the establishment of a special unit for investigating corruption by high-ranking officials,... and he emphasized the need for religious leaders to act.
Here's what he said.
"I would like to make this request once again. The government, including myself, needs to do more to achieve integration and harmony among the people, but I would like to say that religious leaders also need to play a greater role."
The president asked for religious groups to do more to encourage healthy debates over how to achieve fairness,... which he says the people strongly demand.
President Moon also sought their wisdom in handling the difficult economic situation... and the lack of progress being made in inter-Korean relations, due to the deadlock in nuclear talks between North Korea and the U.S.
