యువతకు గాంధీజీ ఇచ్చిన సందేశాలు కాలంతో సంబంధం లేకుండా ఎప్పుడూ సమకాలీనంగా ఉంటాయని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ గవర్నర్‌ బిశ్వభూషణ్‌ హరిచందన్‌ అన్నారు. ఏపీ పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ, గాంధీ స్మారక నిధి ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించిన గాంధీజీ 150వ జయంతి వేడుకల్లో గవర్నర్ ముఖ్య అతిధిగా పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా గాంధీ స్మారక నిధి సభ్యులు ఆయనకు ఘన స్వాగతం పలికారు. సిద్దార్థ కాలేజీ ఆడిటోరియంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ‘గాంధీజీ ఫోటో ఎగ్జిబిషన్‌’ను బిశ్వభూషణ్ ప్రారంభించారు. స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధులను గవర్నర్ సన్మానించి అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. గాంధీ జయంతి సందర్భంగా నిర్వహించిన వ్యాసరచన పోటీల్లో విజేతలకు బహుమతులు ప్రదానం చేశారు. అనంతరం గ్రంథాలయ వయోజన విద్యోద్యమాల మాసపత్రిక, గ్రంథాలయ సర్వస్వం పుస్తకాన్ని, సీడీని ఆయన ఆవిష్కరించారు.
