Popular heartburn drug Zantac will no longer be available at American retailer CVS over fears it could cause cancer.
Sales are now suspended following concerns that ranitidine products like Zantac may contain a carcinogen.
Ranitidine reduces the amount of stomach acid,...relieving indigestion and acid reflux.
France and Canada have already recalled Zantac.
Health authorities advise that patients taking the drug should consult with a doctor who can prescribe alternatives to ranitidine.
