N. Korea and China showed off 'strategic friendship' to world through summits: Kim Jong-un

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly replied to a message he got earlier this month from Chinese President Xi Jinping, congratulating North Korea on the 71st anniversary of its founding.
In his reply, according to the North's state media, Kim mentioned the summits he's had with Xi, saying the leaders were able to show the world their determination to strengthen their countries' friendship something he called a strategic choice.
Kim also expressed gratitude for the support of the Chinese ruling party and the government.
That Kim sent the message is seen as a way for the North to demonstrate its strong ties with its ally, China.
