N. Korea and China showed off 'strategic friendship' to world through summits: Kim Jong-un

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has replied to Chinese President Xi Jinping's congratulatory message on the North's 71st anniversary of founding the regime on September 9th.
Mentioning the summits he had with Xi, Kim stressed that the leaders were able to show the world their willingness to further strengthen the friendship between North Korea and China which, he says, is a strategic choice.
Kim also expressed gratitude for the support of the Chinese ruling party and the government.
The message is at an ordinary level no deeper or stronger than that but as North Korea-U.S. nuclear negotiations are drawing near, the North seems to be trying to show off its ever-strong ties with its ally China.
