South Korea is seeking international cooperation on the issue of the radioactive water from Japan's crippled nuclear power plant at Fukushima.
The country's science ministry and nuclear safety commission on Thursday said it's sent a letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency,... citing concerns of damage to the marine environment.
Reports have said Japan might be planning to discharge about 1 million tons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean.
The South Korean government has vowed to continue to push the international community to find the best possible way to dispose of the water so that it does not burden future generations.
