80 homes razed in Laguna fire

MANILA – At least 80 homes were razed after a fire hit a residential area in San Pedro City, Laguna on Tuesday. The fire left homeless at least 90 families residing in Sitio Maharlika 2 in Barangay San Antonio. Fire investigators said initial findings showed that the blaze was triggerred by an unattended gas stove. The affected families are currently sheltered at a nearby basketball court. The cost of damage from the fire has yet to be determined. The San Pedro government said Tuesday's blaze is the second massive fire incident to occur in the city this year.– report from Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News
