MANILA – At least 50 houses were razed after a fire hit a residential area in Tandang Sora, Quezon City before dawn on Friday. The fire erupted at a residential area along Banlat Road and reached the fourth alarm. At least 150 families lost their homes. The fire was allegedly triggered by an unattended lit candle inside the house of the Belarmino family. The Belarminos denied this allegation. "Sa labas 'yun kasi nakita ko pa 'yung wire na nasusunog sa labas. Hindi 'yun kandila," Clarita Belarmino said.
