The award was presented by Honourable Health & Family Welfare Minister, Dr. C. Vijayabasker. For his wonderful service in the field of Gastroenterology for the past 32 years which includes free medical treatments, awareness campaigns, authoring books, articles & speech and also remarkably for his Guinness records at his Gastroenterology Center. It is highly notable that Dr. V.G.Mohan Prasad is the only doctor from Coimbatore who got the "Best Performing Doctor Award 2018".
