A South Korean lawmaker has called for import restrictions on Japanese processed foods from areas affected by the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
Citing reports from the food safety ministry earlier today, Kim Kwang-su... said thirty-five cases of high levels of radiation were found in around sixteen-thousand imported items from regions surrounding the power plant.
He pointed out the current ban on imports of all fishery products from eight prefectures around Fukushima, enforced since 2013, is not enough to ensure the Korean public's safety.
