S. Korean auto production and exports grow in H1 2019, backed by new SUV models

South Korea's automobile production and exports rose in the first half of this year on the back of new SUVs from local carmakers.
Trade ministry data shows auto exports from January to June rose two and a half percent on-year, shipping out over one million units.
Most of those were eco-friendly cars like electric sedans and SUVs.
The country's auto production also edged up 1-point-2 percent on-year over the same period,... with total output exceeding two million vehicles.
