China accounted for 26.7% of S. Korea's exports in H1

There are concerns about how the trade war between the U.S. and China will affect the South Korean economy, but data show in the first half of this year the country's shipments to China accounted for a bigger proportion of its exports than ever before.
According to the Korea Center for International Finance,... China accounted for 26-point-7 percent of all outbound shipments.
That's more than its exports to the U.S., the EU, and Japan combined, which took up 26-point-3 percent.
The think tank attributes the increase to more exports of semiconductors and petrochemicals,... which shot up by more than 60 percent and 23 percent, respectively.
It says the trade war shouldn't affect exports too much,... but it could cause that growth to slow down.
