S. Korean auto production and exports grow in H1 2019, backed by new SUV models

South Korea's automobile production and exports rose in the first half of this year,... backed by a new lineup of SUVs from local automakers.
Data released by the trade ministry on Tuesday show... auto exports from January to June rose 2-point-5 percent on-year,... shipping out over one million units.
Most of those were so-called green cars like electric sedans and SUVs.
The country's auto production also edged up 1-point-2 percent on-year over the same period,... with total output exceeding two million vehicles.
