Boat believed to be from N. Korea found in S. Korea's eastern coast

A wooden boat believed to be from North Korea was found off South Korea's East Sea... on Friday.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said ... the Coast Guard found the unoccupied boat some 20 kilometers from the defacto demarcation line, the Northern Limit Line... near the northeastern town of Goseong, in Gangwon-do province... at around 10:37 AM today... while patrolling the area.
The near 10-meter-long boat did not have an engine... and some fishing nets were found on it.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said the boat was nearly submerged when officers first spotted it.
It's unclear if anybody got off the boat before authorities found it.
The boat was hauled to an Army unit for further investigation.
