Four unmanned N. Korean boats found in waters off eastern S. Korea since last Saturday
  • 5 years ago
A wooden boat believed to be from North Korea was detected off South Korea's east coast on Monday.
This is in addition to the three unmanned boats from North Korea that were found in South Korea's East Sea waters last Saturday.
They were destroyed after being cleared of espionage.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said they drifted south due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The latter three were submerged... which makes them almost impossible to tow... but left untouched, could've be dangerous to other fishing boats.
Sixteen unoccupied North Korean boats have crossed the de facto demarcation line, the Northern Limit Line, this year alone.
