North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to pay tribute to his grandfather Kim Il-sung.
Today marks 25 years since the death of the North Korean founder.
The North's state media showed key aides, including Choe Ryong-hae, the head of the North Korean parliament's presidium and Kim Jae-ryong, the premier of North Korea,... accompanying the young leader.
Kumsusan Palace of the Sun is where the embalmed bodies of Kim Il-sung and the previous leader Kim Jong-il lie in state.
Pyeongyang's state TV also showed North Korean citizens commemorating Kim Il-sung's death with a three-minute silence at noon, local time.
