The first showers of the monsoon season... provided relief from the intense summer heat.
Take note however,... that rain can also cause health issues such as food poisoning.

The monsoon front started to affect Jeju in the early morning,... and it has been moving up north since then.
This year's monsoon season started a week later than usual,... but it's also the first time in 12 years... that the monsoon front has covered the southern regions and the central regions at once.
So far,... heavy rain warnings and advisories have been issued in the southern coast and in parts of Jeju,... as it's been getting bucket loads of rain.
The estimated amount of rain in the capital and the surrounding regions is being forecast at between 10 and 40 millimeters,... and much more further down in the southern regions,... at up to 120 millimeters.
The monsoon front will travel back down... towards the southeastern coast tomorrow afternoon.
So until then, you should hang on to your umbrellas where ever you are.
Meanwhile, Beijing is continuing to bake... under scorching hot weather.

Seoul and most parts of the country will begin the morning with temperatures ranging from 21 to 22 degrees Celsius.
The daytime highs aren't too hot either,...
with Seoul topping out at 29 degrees, Busan and Jeju a lot cooler at 26 and 27 degrees respectively.
The rain will briefly stop on Friday,... but it's expected to return over the weekend.
And for the time being, temperatures will stay on the mild side.
