Monsoon rain begins on Jeju _ 061918

Jeju Island is seeing the first monsoon rain of season from early this morning.
That rain will linger until early tomorrow with 20 to 60 millimeters of showers expected,... while the southern coastal regions will also see light rainfall. Meanwhile,... the rest of the country will see lots of clouds today.
Clouds will put the brakes on the heatwave, the top temperatures will be 3 to 6 degrees lower than yesterday. Most parts will see highs in the mid twenties.
Seoul, Gwangju and Gyeongju will get up to 27 degrees Celsius, Jeju will see monsoon rain all day.
Inland regions will start to be affected by the monsoon front next week, while temperatures and humidity will continue to rise.
