Recognition at work
What could be more frustrating for an employee who deserves to be praised by his or her superiors?! And doesn't receive it? Indeed, it has been proven that feeling recognized and encouraged has a clear and undeniable impact on everyone's motivation. On the other hand, commitment to work can fail very quickly if this is not the case. The figures speak for themselves: seven out of ten employees feel that they are not properly recognized in their work. As such, the lack of consideration is the primary cause of workplace discomfort. Recognition can, however, be easier than you think: greet each other verbally every morning, be courteous, hold small meetings and talk about the right numbers when it is the case, congratulate your troops, get to know each other and act according to their respective expectations, etc. So, as a leader, you have to know how to re-examine yourself and adopt the right attitude at the right time.
