Nawal el Saghiera BANAT MAZIN ANA AL DACTEUR 1968 (I'm the Doctor This clip is from the film Ana Al Dacteur (I'm the Doctor) This scene takes place at a Mouled which is a village fair in Egypt. The people are playing typical village fair games, including a bit of Tahtib sparring, wrestling matches, competitions that involve the breaking of bunches of sugarcane over the knee to see who can break more of them and thus demonstrate who is the strongest, and a game called El Madfa3 (the canon) which is a small cannon on wheels with a cap on the end that is pushed forcefully on a track against a wall. The person who makes it hit the wall and makes the cap explode wins a prize such as a doll or a sweet or other such thing. The first dancer in this clip is baladi dancer Nawal El Saghera who arrives on a camel. She dances in baladi style throughout the clip several times with sagat. The Mazin sisters also dance throughout this clip, and again towards the end of it. They are not listed in the credits as the Banat Mazin but rather as "Rouba3i Luxor" which means the quartet from Luxor. The first woman who sings is Sha'abi singer Khadra Mohamed Khadr. Then at 1:49 a very young Fatme Serhan in a flowered dress begins to sing. At 2:55 the singer who is waving a branch is actor/singer 3omar El Geezawi. Khadra Mohamed Khadr sings again at 4:01 while Fatme Serhan sits next to her and eats lettuce leaves. And finally towards the end, sha'abi singer Shekawi el Keenawi sings. The music and lyrics to this song were composed by Zakariya el 7aegawi. The producer of the film is Lebanese actress/producer Mary Queeny.
