Magnitude 8.0 earthquake strikes Peru

An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 stuck northern Peru at the Peruvian Amazon region in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Peru´s National Emergency Center(COEN) said at least 11 people were injured and more than 50 homes destroyed.
Emergency officials said that at least one person in the Cajamarca region was killed after a boulder struck his home.
