China's top diplomat slams the U.S. for putting enormous curbs on Chinese tech giant Huawei.... and that although Beijing is still open to talks... it won't accept any unequal trade agreements.
Choi Si young has more. In a statement posted on the Chinese foreign ministry's website, Wang Yi said on Wednesday that "the use of power to suppress China's private enterprises such as Huawei, is typical economic bullying."
He said Washington's pressure is a move to hamper China's development.

He also criticized the U.S. for breaking the trade negotiations between the world's two largest economies by exerting such economic pressure.
Wang said China would be open for trade negotiations with the U.S.,... but stressed his country will not accept unequal trade agreements.
Huawei is facing yet another challenge as UK based chip designer ARM has suspended business with the Chinese tech giant following the U.S. trade ban.
Huawei uses ARM's core technology to power its smartphones.
Despite the latest developments,... U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has expressed optimism about resuming negotiations with Beijing.
Speaking at a congressional hearing on Wednesday,... he stressed that new negotiations may take place when the two countries can move forward based on the talks they have already had.
Although he did not elaborate on the specific timing,... Mnuchin did mention that Presidents Trump and Xi are highly likely to meet late next month,... on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan.
