Washington has reportedly said next time North Korea test fires a short-range ballistic missile... it'll go to the UN Security Council to request corresponding measures.
According to Japan's Tokyo Shimbun citing a source familiar with U.S.-Japan relations that's what the U.S. delegation said earlier this month at a closed-door meeting of UN Security Council members.
Another test-firing of missiles by the North would likely trigger a press statement by the UNSC criticizing the North... and depending on the threat level... another resolution condemning Pyeongyang.
The U.S. stated, however, that it will not raise the issue of whether the North had violated Security Council resolutions with its test-firing of missiles ealier this month.
