Bipartisan support necessary to handle urgent matters directly related to people's livelihoods: Moon

President Moon Jae-in has ordered his Cabinet to speed up their work to boost the South Korean economy.
In Tuesday's Cabinet meeting,... the president called on his ministers to do more to reform the economy to ensure better outcomes... and again asked for bipartisan support from the National Assembly.
Here's the President.
"More than anything, the passage of the government-led supplementary budget bill is an urgent matter. An extra budget is necessary to cope with natural disasters and fine dust issues, as well as driving up consumption. This is a budget that will directly improve the livelihoods of the people."
President Moon called for a meeting with the leaders of the five rival political parties... saying they need to reach a compromise over contentious issues like the provision of food aid to North Korea and economy-related matters.
He said... they can discuss the most pressing issues,... as long as the main opposition Liberty Korea Party agrees,... sending a direct message to the only party that has strongly opposed such a meeting.
