President urges parliament to swiftly pass bills directly related to people's livelihoods

President Moon Jae-in is urging the National Assembly to push forward with a number of pending issues.
In a weekly meeting with his top secretaries,... the president urged parliament to fulfill its duty and swiftly pass long-pending bills,... including one on expanding flexible working hours.
"I ask the parliament to give its support to revitalizing economy. I ask you to speed up the process of handling economy-related bills like to support the self-employed and small business owners and to promote new industries for innovative growth."
Moon then called lawmakers to revise the Minimum Wage Act as soon as possible to minimize uncertainties in the market.
The president also touched on bills related to the safety of medical personnel and ending violence in sports.
