Seoul stocks recover after opening lower on Tuesday

South Korea's main stock index also opened lower on Tuesday.... over concerns about the U.S.-China trade talks,... but it rebounded by midway through the trading session.
As of 11:40 a.m., Korea time,.... the benchmark KOSPI was trading.... 8 points or zero-point-3-8 percent up at two-thousand-86.
The tech heavy KOSDAQ was up zero-point-six percent at seven-13.
But the Korean won has fallen to around 1-thousand-1-hundred-and-ninety won against the greenback,... a low not seen since January 2017.
According to the Bank of Korea, the won-to-dollar exchange rate plunged almost three percent during the April-May period.
The depreciation of the won against the dollar was only exceeded by Turkey's lira and Argentina's peso.
