Seoul stocks open lower on Tuesday amid U.S.-China trade war woes

South Korea's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday,... following the latest uptick in trade tensions between the U.S. and China.
As of 9:45Am, Korea time, the benchmark KOSPI was trading 15 points or zero-point-eight percent lower at 2,063.
The tech heavy KOSDAQ was down over one percent at 701.
The Korean won has fallen to 1-thousand 1-hundred and ninety won level against the greenback,... a low not seen since January 2017.
According to Bank of Korea, the won-to-dollar exchange rate plunged almost three percent during April-May period.
The depreciation of the won against the dollar was only exceeded by Turkey's lira and Argentina's peso.
