Disney Announces New Upcoming 'Star Wars' and 'Avatar' Movies According to Disney, the first film of a new 'Star Wars'
trilogy will hit theaters in December 2022. Two more 'Star Wars' movies will
then be released every other year. Both of those films will premiere in the December 2024 and December 2026. Disney also revealed that the sequel
to James Cameron's 'Avatar' will
debut in December 2021. Before this new date, it was scheduled for December 2020 release. Three more sequels for 'Avatar,' the
highest-grossing movie of all time,
will then coincide with 'Star Wars.' Just like 'Star Wars,' they will also premiere in December.
