President Moon calls on gov't to strengthen employment stability, social safety nets

We start over at the top office,.... where President Moon Jae-in is calling on the government to speed up efforts to support jobseekers struggling to find work.
During a cabinet meeting on Tuesday,... President Moon said,.... employment data from February and March point to some positive changes,... such as the employment rate for people aged 15 to 64 showing an upward trend,... and the youth employment rate increasing sharply.
The number of full-employed workers also rose.
But he was concerned over the declining number of jobs in the manufacturing and retail industries,... leading to unstable employment among people in their 40s.
The president also noted that technological advancements and the aging population are isolating many people from the labor market,... requiring the government to strengthen job security and social safety nets.
He says,.... these issues make the supplementary budget all the more necessary.... and called for more cooperation from the National Assembly,.... so the budget can be used to get rid of blind spots in the labor market.
