Pres. Moon calls on gov't to clamp down on those who enjoy unjust privileges

President Moon Jae-in says irregularities... that have taken root in Korean society must be eradicated,... and that fairness and equality must be firmly established.
Presiding over a meeting with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission at the Blue House earlier today,... the President strongly emphasized that the country must rid itself of corruption.
"The violation of rules and unfair privileges undermine the base of the people's rights to equality and happiness. Everyone needs to be able to have the same chance and be able to get back up even after failure."
President Moon says young people will lose hope and won't pursue their dreams,... if society does not offer equal opportunities.
He also called on the National Tax Service and other relevant ministries... to use all possible means to prevent delinquent taxpayers from hiding their wealth,... and high-income earners from enjoying unfair privileges.
