Over at the National Assembly... the ruling Democratic Party has decided to accept the centrist Bareunmirae Party's own version of an anti-corruption body bill, and put it on fast track together with the bills they already submitted.
DP floor leader Hong Young-pyo said the party decided to give the proposed bill a fast-track status -- to create a body to investigate high ranking government and public officials.
Despite fierce resistance from some ruling party lawmakers, Hong vowed to put those bills on fast-track.
Since last Thursday,.... rival parties have been attempting to fast track four bills, including one on electoral reform.
Those efforts have failed, though, because of strong resistance from the main opposition Liberty Korea Party.
