In view Lok Sabha elections, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Monday issued orders for closure of toddy, wine shops, bars attached to restaurants, military canteen, besides bars in star hotels and registered clubs in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. According to orders, the toddy, wine shops and bars should remain closed from 6 pm on Tuesday to 6 pm on Thursday.

ఏపీ, తెలంగాణలో ఎన్నికల ప్రచారం ముగిసింది. గురువారం రెండు రాష్ట్రాల్లో ఎన్నికలు జరగనున్నాయి. పోలింగ్ ఏర్పాట్లలో బిజీ అయ్యింది ఎన్నికలసంఘం. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో మూడురోజుల పాటు మందును బంద్ చేయాలని నిర్ణయించింది. మంగళవారం సాయంత్రం 6 గంటల నుంచి గురువారం సాయంత్రం 6 వరకు మందు షాపులన్నీ మూసివేయాలని అధికారులు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు. ఎక్కడైనా మద్యం విక్రయాలు జరుగుతున్నాయనే సమాచారం అందితే వారిపై చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామన్నారు.
