Pompeo meets IAEA chief, expresses support towards nuclear nonproliferation

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with the head of the IAEA on Wednesday... and expressed his support for the UN agency's work on nuclear nonproliferation... and promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The State Department says he and the IAEA chief, Yukiya Amano,... talked about the agency's verification role in Iran,... but it's also believed they would've discussed North Korea as well.
The day before, Amano briefed the UN Security Council.
There, he said the IAEA would be ready to send inspectors into North Korea within weeks for monitoring and verification purposes... if a denuclearization deal was reached.
