Maharashtra's ruling BJP today appeared divided on whether to ban the Sanathan Sanstha, a radical outfit suspected to be behind the murders of several well-known rationalists, with sections of the party calling for a "kid-glove treatment".Former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan also seems to have given the BJP an excuse not to ban the outfit after the Congress leader claimed his government had tried to get the group outlawed since 2011 but couldn't.
