After Mumbai witnessed a major uproar over the meat ban for four days during the Jain festival Paryushan, it is now Rajasthan that has declared a ban on sale of meat and fish for three days on Thursday. The Rajasthan government issued an order in this regard to ban the sale of meat and fish on September 17, 18 and 27. The move comes even as the ban imposed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai sparked a row with parties such as Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) taking to the streets opposing the order.
