Lalit Modi controversy: Strong evidence needed to appeal against HC order, says MEA

The government is exploring avenues for appealing against the high court verdict restoring Lalit Modi's passport, but the external affairs ministry needs compelling evidence from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), given the nature of the verdict, officials said.
