Enforcement Directorate is preparing to send a letter rogatory (a judicial request for evidence) to Mauritius in connection with its money laundering investigation into television rights of IPL facilitated by Modi. This will be the first big step towards issuing a red corner notice (RCN) against the former IPL chairman who could then be arrested in any country. The BJP has been under fire over first Sushma Swaraj and then Vasundhara Raje and the reason is their alleged links with fugitive Lalit Modi. Now, the BJP had decided to turn offensive on the issue, the party will shift gear on Lalit Modi, the party feels that there is a perception of BJP shielding Modi & has hurt it. The party will now project Lalit Modi as a criminal & sources say strong action will be taken against Lalit very soon.
