BMC to cut down water supply

The delayed monsoon coupled with deficit rain forecasts has prompted the civic authority to consider a host of steps to prevent a crippling water shortage in the city.

Apart from water cuts, the BMC has decided to test cloud seeding at a cost of Rs 15 crore and also issue a public appeal asking citizens to avoid water wastage.
