Malda: Malda District Magistrate Godala Kiran Kumar, who was arrested last week on corruption charges, has been granted conditional bail. Earlier, IPS officer and former Siliguri police commissioner K Jayaraman who arrested the DM was transferred out of Malda. Kumar was arrested for allegedly embezzling government money sanctioned for civil projects to the tune of Rs 100 crore.
