NewsX: Karnataka BJP alleges State Governemt is delaying Ahmed's promotion

NewsX: In Karnataka too the state government and opposition are at loggerheads over the treatment meted out to a state administrative service officer. The Karnataka BJP alleges that the Congress government in the state has kept a senior Karnataka Administrative Service officer's promotion and posting in abeyance for over a month.

Ateeq Ahmed was a member secretary of the Minorities Commission. The commission had recently submitted a report of major encroachments of Wakf land properties by top Muslim leaders. It had named several senior Congress leaders in the 2 lakh crore rupees scam.
